MORE CONTESTS

We’ve got something for everyone.

Attend the auction and bid on your favorite one. Proceeds benefit agricultural education programs! Sunday, September 17 at 3pm in the South Side Tire & Auto Beef Barn (Building 18).
Local artists receive a project and are partnered with sponsors. Completed projects are displayed in downtown merchant windows. In the     weeks leading up to the Fair, the public is invited to view the projects and even participate by selecting their favorite project and merchant display through the Fair’s Facebook page. The projects are brought back to the Fair and auctioned off to the highest bidder on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the South Side Tire & Auto Show Ring. (Bldg. 18).

Sponsored by Rupert Landscape

This contest shows diversity of agriculture in Frederick County. This program is dedicated to educating the public about landscaping within the ag industry as well as promote the landscaping industry before an audience of 240,000 spectators.

Various sites on the grounds have been designated to be temporarily beautified with landscape designs by both students and professional landscapers. Not only will these areas be greatly enhanced but, they will also provide ideas and educational information to spectators.

Landscapers are encouraged to use the theme when designing their areas. The contest has two divisions–one for students and one for professionals. In addition to improving the grounds, the landscapers have the opportunity to earn cash prizes.

This is an excellent way for landscaping companies to advertise in front of a captive audience.
